Don’t hold, be bold to get them out
At any workplace, employees look for certain characteristics such as relaxed atmosphere where they feel acknowledged and encouraged, transparent communication, respect with understanding, positive reinforcement, emphasis on your health, opportunities for professional growth, flexible schedules, competitive salaries, perks and benefits with little fun. However, no place is perfect or ideal unless you get into your employees’ shoes and make changes to make it a positive and productive workplace with your workforce contributing to their fullest to achieve your goal.
What if you are in a company having all that you would dream of to make it an ideal place to work with merely a single LOO for 50 guys? Yes, you’ve read it perfectly; you didn’t misread. This truly is such a unique thing I’m sure you can’t have ever come across. If not so, then it would still make you imagine what would happen from 9:00 A.M to 6:00 P.M, Monday to Friday? Thank God! It’s only about the males zeroing in on this poor little room, making it the most occupied space in the entire office.
The show begins when everyone thinking to reach before 9:00 A.M to freshen up reaches office with not much difference and the same chaos creates. Whosoever is the first to visit is lucky as there are not many outside to disturb him. And if some time goes by, you get in and just then the knob keeps turning down with this squeaky sound freaking you out. You really get burnt up as you either are half way done or just felt like staying a little longer to attend the nature’s call. The entire day, you just don’t have the adequate amount of water just to avoid going to the restroom where some really do nothing but rest.
The funnier thing is about a small cute bulb which turns green, which should mean “Good to go”, but ironically it means you can’t use the loo because it’s occupied. I mean “Green” seriously! The fun comes into its swing when there is a queue for the visitors and those are lucky whose seating arrangement is in the close proximity. To them, it is not even at a stone’s throw. As someone gets out, some other person is found going to the people in the management which means a meeting is to be held. There has been a number of meetings where people meet not their requirements.
I wish that the people running this place would get into our shoes and then realize what happens when someone splashes the boots.
